Happy Holi ! We attended our first Holi festival today and had a blast. If you aren't familiar with what one is it's a festival of colors to celebrate spring's arrival. It is also a cultural event but it is celebrated all over the
world, not just in India. It is traditionally celebrated on Phalgun
Purnima which comes the end of February or early March. The Holi
festival has an ancient origin and celebrates the triumph of 'good' over
'bad'. The colorful festival bridges the social gap. On this day,
people hug and wish each other 'Happy Holi'.
We had a wonderful time. We threw a few colors , as you can see from my photos below. Tasted a bit of Indian food and soda. So super yummy, enjoyed the Indian music and most of all had a wonderful family day out.
Hubby , isn't he handsome?
Indian Soda, yummy. I know, I know, not considered part of my juicing plan, but it was so tasty and refreshing on such a hot day.
